Pineau Rouge
overview: A strong vin de liqueur traditionally made in the Cognac Region of France. Very unique in Australia.
Winemaking: Freshly crushed premium Cabernet Sauvignon is fortified at an early stage of fermentation with a rich brandy spirit and gently basket pressed.
maturation: A long development of at least 7 years in small French Oak.
colour: Deep mahogany.
nose: Brandy aroma predominates the underlying aged fruit character.
palate: Deep, rich and fruity, mildly tannic and a warm brandy bias. Flavour concentrated by long wood ageing.
