Liqueur Muscat

overview:          Estate grown Rutherglen Brown Muscat, Silver Medal Fortified Class and Nitschke Furniture Trophy for Best Alternative Style of Show 2006 and 2007 Marananga Regional Wine Show.

 

Winemaking:     A long Carbonic Maceration treatment proceeded fermentation. After fortification, the new wine remained on-skins for a prescribed time.

 

maturation:        Aged in Limousin and American Oak Casks.

 

colour:              Pink/Tawny.

 

nose:                Lightly fragrant, roseate, bearing notes of wild strawberry and tangerine.

 

palate:              Balanced sweetness, lively Muscat flavour with a marmalade tartness.
